11/27/2023 0 Comments Now in stock 3090![]() IMO, the 4090 will be the most highly sought after from these first three skus announced i.e. That may be enough time for inventory to recover after the first wave before Christmas, but who knows what supply will look like. It's been a LONG time since I've bought a PC component from a brick and mortar, but heard good things about Microcenter, if that's an option for you. If you're not able to be at your computer refreshing the site the moment they drop, then I wouldn't even try. Normally, and I'm 99% sure we're back to normal, if you're ready to buy the moment something launches online you'll be successful. I don't expect it'll be as bad as the 3080 launch, that was hopefully a once in a lifetime crapshow. I'll almost guarantee they'll sell out launch day, likely within minutes. So I’m not looking to upgrade my desktop for probably a couple of years. But I’m not currently looking to build, I just did a 2080 Ti build in 2020 and then bought an Alienware laptop a few months ago. ![]() I myself am more of a douche bag enthusiast who likes to buy the latest greatest expensive tech for no reason, so the 4090 is more up my alley lol. The 3090 Ti for $999 is an extremely good deal and I just can’t justify spending $600 more than that for something that my brother would never even notice a difference on. Even a 3090 Ti is probably overkill but I’d like for him to have 24GB if VRAM since he’s a creative professional and would also like to pursue VR opportunities. I’m capitalizing on the end of generation price drops to build him an extremely powerful computer for like 50% of the cost from 6 months ago. The build is for my brother who definitely does not need a 4090 or the newest generation of tech. I’m looking to spend less than $1,000 on the GPU.
